About Us

We are an association of music teachers in San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita and Ventura. We provide local opportunities for student performances, competitions, masterclasses and  evaluations, and for teacher enrichment, education, and interaction.

The California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) is part of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), which is the largest private music teacher association in the USA. CAPMT is divided into nine districts and the CAPMT San Fernando/Santa Clarita/Ventura Chapter is part of District 9.
Teachers belonging to our Chapter have the opportunity to participate with their students in our local Masterclasses, Recitals, Competitions and Student Evaluations, and in both state and national events. We invite you to join our chapter so we can share our exciting events and opportunities with you and your students!
